Softball Recap: West Broward Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Plantation last Wednesday, West Broward came back down to earth. The West Broward Bobcats fell just short of the Spanish River Sharks by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

West Broward saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Victoria Carmona, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

West Broward dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, West Broward will face off against Miramar at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spanish River, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against Wellington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
