Softball Recap: Concordia Has No Trouble Against Sacred Heart

Concordia won the last time they faced Sacred Heart and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Morgan Lister was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Lister was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

In other batting news, Concordia let Kenlee Williams and Kinsleigh Bethune run wild. Williams scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Bethune scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Williams has posted since back in April of 2024. Camleigh Hake was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Concordia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Concordia's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Sacred Heart, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Concordia and Sacred Heart will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers will challenge rival Rock Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sacred Heart is set to take on their familiar foe Republic County at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
