Volleyball Recap: Columbus' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Columbus came into Saturday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Berlin Indians 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cardinals have posted since September 13th.

Columbus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mikaela Olson led the charge by getting three digs, two blocks, and two aces. That's the most aces Olson has posted over her last five contests.

Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Berlin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Columbus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Markesan on the 20th. As for Berlin, they will be playing at home against Wisconsin Dells at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
