Softball Recap: Nyack Red Hawks vs. John Jay Wolves
On Tuesday Nyack's undefeated season almost came to an end. They skirted past the John Jay Wolves 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Hawks have posted since May 8, 2024.
Haley Serrano spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Nyack got a big performance out of Eliana Katz, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Maeve O'Donnell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Katz wasn't the only one making solid contact: Nyack kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Nyack's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
