Basketball Game Preview: Columbia City Eagles vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings

Having just played yesterday, the Columbia City Eagles will jump right back in to play the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Columbia City is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Columbia City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Fairfield as Columbia City made off with a 55-33 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Falcons are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tippecanoe Valley hadn't beaten Wawasee on the road since March 2, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Tippecanoe Valley took down Wawasee 44-29. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Tippecanoe Valley's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Columbia City, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

Columbia City strolled past Tippecanoe Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 49-35. Will Columbia City repeat their success, or does Tippecanoe Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
