The Arlington Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Valley View Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arlington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Valley View will be up against a hot Arlington squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Lions' way against Poly on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Given Arlington's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Poly are ranked 1014th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arlington hit Poly with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hugo Gomez, Angel Godinez-Telon, and Isaac Michaelson.

Meanwhile, Valley View hasn't lost a match since December 29, 2025, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and Orange Vista finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Arlington's win bumped their record up to 9-3. With that draw, Valley View's record moves to 9-3-2.

Arlington came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley View in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
