Basketball Game Preview: Shelton Gaels vs. Career Magnet Panthers

Shelton and Career Magnet are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Shelton Gaels will head out to square off against the Career Magnet Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Shelton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Shelton came up short against Lauralton Hall on Friday, falling 44-24.

Meanwhile, Career Magnet came into Thursday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 45-41 W over Guilford on Thursday.

Career Magnet's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Shelton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Shelton strolled past Career Magnet in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 33-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shelton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
