Softball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall lost against Hallsville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Marshall Mavericks lost 9-1 to the Hallsville Bobcats. The game marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Marshall saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karleigh Robinson, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Marshall has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. The victory was the 13th in a row for Hallsville, bringing their record for this year to 18-2-1.

Coming up, Marshall will be playing in front of their home fans against Texas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hallsville, they will take on Jacksonville at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
