Soccer Recap: Permian Takes a Loss

Permian lost against Frenship back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Permian Panthers came up short against the Frenship Tigers, falling 6-2. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Tigers are ranked 20th).

Permian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Frenship, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Permian will head out to challenge Midland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frenship, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Frenship duke it out with San Angelo Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Angelo Central is on a three-game streak of home wins, Frenship a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
