Basketball Recap: Goddard Takes a Loss

Goddard lost against Collegiate back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Goddard Lions took a hard 59-43 fall against the Collegiate Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Spartans are ranked 98th).

Goddard has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 8-1-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Kapaun Mt. Carmel the next time they take the court. Goddard will head out to face Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Collegiate will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
