Recap: Clear Lake Falcons vs. South Houston Trojans
The Clear Lake Falcons had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 40-31 victory over South Houston on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Clear Lake, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Clear Lake can attribute much of their success to Jazmine Klausmeier, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Klausmeier has scored at least 25% of Clear Lake's points. Carmen Evans was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 steals.
Clear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for South Houston, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Clear Lake will head out on the road to face off against Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Houston, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Spring Woods at 7:00 p.m.
