            Man had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-6 to make it nine. They came up short against  the St. Joseph Central Irish, falling  12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  22-6  on Friday.
As for St. Joseph Central, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.
For St. Joseph Central's part,  Kate Oxley made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   seven  hits. Oxley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brooklyn Anderson, who  went 1-for-3 with three  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Logan Dunn, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Man didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  7-0  defeat against Tolsia on the 7th. As for St. Joseph Central, they have also already played their next game,  a  7-6  loss against Sherman on the 6th.
