Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Plainview Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Azlyn Leatherwood and Addie Mcwhorter, who picked up eight kills apiece. Leatherwood really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 12. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Charlie Richey, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Westminster Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Plainview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-10.

Westminster Christian Academy has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against East Limestone on the 29th. As for Plainview, they will square off against North Jackson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
