Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only New Hope walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Yazoo City Indians a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

New Hope has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Yazoo City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
