Recap: Richlands Wildcats vs. Northern Nash Knights
The Richlands Wildcats and the Northern Nash Knights squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Richlands Wildcats had to settle for second. Richlands was outmatched by Northern Nash on the road and fell 56-28. Richlands was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.
Northern Nash's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaquille Arrington, who picked up 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Arrington hasn't dropped below two receiving touchdowns for three straight games. Trey Battle was in the mix too, providing Northern Nash with two touchdowns.
Richlands' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Northern Nash, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Richlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northern Nash will head out on the road to face off against Southern Nash at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Nash is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
