Preview: Tornillo Coyotes vs. Kermit Yellow Jackets
Tornillo is 8-2 against Kermit since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Tornillo Coyotes will look to defend their home court against the Kermit Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Tornillo was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to Stanton.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Kermit ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Stanton by a score of 56-48. The victory was nothing new for Kermit as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kermit can attribute much of their success to Jaden Bejarano, who scored 18 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Bejarano is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Diego Juarez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Tornillo dropped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Kermit, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
