Softball Game Preview: Central Lafourche Trojans vs. St. Martin's Episcopal Saints

The Central Lafourche Trojans will square off against the St. Martin's Episcopal Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Martin's Episcopal took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Central Lafourche, who comes in off a win.

Central Lafourche's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Port Allen as Central Lafourche made off with a 15-0 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Meanwhile, St. Martin's Episcopal unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 22-0 to Pearl River on Tuesday. The Saints have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The victory made it two in a row for Central Lafourche and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs over those games. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
