Basketball Recap: Ferris Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Ferris, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hillsboro Eagles 49-46. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Hillsboro lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Charlee Mack, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards. Those 15 boards gave Mack a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Tucker, who posted 15 points.

Ferris is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Hillsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Coincidentally, Ferris and Hillsboro will both be playing Godley the next time they take the court. Ferris will host Godley at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hillsboro will host them at 6:15 p.m. on January 10th.
