Volleyball Recap: Delphi Community Falls Despite Big Games from Aly Stier and Airy Lattimore

Delphi Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lewis Cass Kings, falling 3-0. If the Oracles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Kings when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-17.

Delphi Community's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Airy Lattimore, who had 12 digs and one assist, and Aly Stier, who had nine digs.

Lewis Cass found their leader in sophomore Presley Johnson, who had ten kills, four aces, and one block. Lauren Tocco was another key player, getting 12 digs and three aces.

Delphi Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lewis Cass, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delphi Community will host Frankfort at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lewis Cass, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Whitko at 6:00 p.m. The contest will give the Kings their first taste of in-conference action this season.
