Soccer Recap: Lindhurst Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lindhurst had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rio Vista Rams a 6-0 shutout. The Blazers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Rio Vista from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Uriel Rodriguez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Lindhurst has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven matches. As for Rio Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8-1.

Coincidentally, Lindhurst and Rio Vista will both be playing Woodland Christian the next time they take the pitch. Lindhurst will host Woodland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Rio Vista will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
