Softball Recap: Elkton Elks vs. Lowell Devils        
        
		
            
 Elkton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lowell Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Elkton of the  4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April.
 For Lowell's part,  the team  relied heavily on  Kaili Kirkhart, who  fired off four  doubles, four  RBI,  and two  runs while going 5-for-5.  Madison Thurman was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases.
 Elkton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Lowell, the  victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkton will take on Oakridge at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Lowell, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Yoncalla at 4:30  p.m. The timing is sure in Lowell's favor as the  squad sits on four straight wins at home while Yoncalla has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
