Baseball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Enterprise

Enterprise never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over the Homewood Patriots. The six-run effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Brady Richardson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Cayden Boutwell was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Cavanaugh, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Homewood, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.

Enterprise has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Shelby County on the 6th. As for Homewood, they are taking a road trip to challenge Oak Mountain at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
