Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Salinas' Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Salinas had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Casa Grande Gauchos by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday.

Abi Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Kelsie Domenighini was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

Salinas has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Casa Grande, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-7-1.

As of now, neither Salinas nor the Gauchos have any future games scheduled.
