Baseball Game Preview: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Mountain View Toros

The Mountain Pointe Pride will be taking part in a tournament against the Mountain View Toros at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.

Mountain Pointe fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Flagstaff on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

Mountain Pointe saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Adamson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Mountain View posted their closest victory since March 21, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past Brophy College Prep 9-8.

The team relied heavily on Chasyn Cook, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Duke Henrie was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mountain View, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Mountain Pointe beat Mountain View 9-5 when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Will Mountain Pointe repeat their success, or does Mountain View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
