Football Recap: Altus Takes a Loss

Altus dropped to 8-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took a blow against the Carl Albert Titans, falling 49-21. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jeymon Reed threw for 135 yards and one touchdown.

As for Carl Albert, their record now sits at 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won eight games by 28 points or more so far this season.

Leading Carl Albert to victory were Delijah Matthews and Anderson Collier. Matthews gained 240 total yards and two touchdowns, while Collier threw for 267 yards and five TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes. Matthews' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. Austin Johnson was Collier's top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Coming up, Altus will head out on the road to challenge Newcastle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carl Albert, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Duncan at 7:00 p.m.
