Volleyball Recap: Goldsboro Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southern Wayne on Tuesday, Goldsboro came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Goldsboro actually scored more points across those five sets (108-94), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 10-25, 19-25, 15-13.

Goldsboro's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Goldsboro will challenge C.B. Aycock at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they will face off against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
