Baseball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Chaparral duked it out with Belton on Friday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-1. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Chaparral saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Schubert, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Chaparral moved to 12-8-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Belton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chaparral is set to challenge their familiar foe Lake Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Belton will square off against rival Ellison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
