The Westwood Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. Everything went their way against First Christian as Westwood Christian made off with a 66-43 win. That looming 66-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Westwood Christian yet this season.
Westwood Christian was led to victory by Tripp Kirkland and Brett Bozeman. Kirkland scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks, while Bozeman scored 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The match was Kirkland's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Avery Thomas was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Westwood Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for First Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westwood Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gainesville Christian Community at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for First Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
