Soccer Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Madera South

After losing to Edison the last time they met, Madera South decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Madera South Stallions never let the Edison Tigers onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday. Cristopher Zavala had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Stallions.

Something new happened on Thursday as Alan Avila saw his first action of the season, playing 40 minutes against Edison. Avila made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Madera South's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matchups. As for Edison, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-2-1.
