Volleyball Game Preview: Granbury Pirates vs. Chisholm Trail Rangers

Granbury has gone 7-2 against Chisholm Trail recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Rangers at 6:00 p.m. Chisholm Trail took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Granbury, who comes in off a win.

Granbury won the last time they faced Saginaw and Mattie Weaver did her part to make sure it happened again. The Pirates walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rough Riders on Friday with plenty of help from Weaver, who had 15 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

While Granbury might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Saginaw scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 27-25, 22-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Chisholm Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Fossil Ridge.

Granbury's win bumped their record up to 18-20. As for Chisholm Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-22.

Granbury was able to grind out a solid victory over Chisholm Trail in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
