The Columbus North Bull Dogs will venture away from home to face off against the Silver Creek Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbus North is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
On Thursday, Columbus North got the win against Jennings County by a conclusive 8-1. Considering the Bull Dogs have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Payton Morris made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Columbus North let Lily Retz and Morgan Jarvis run wild. Retz went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Jarvis went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Jarvis has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Silver Creek was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Floyd Central. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost seven in a row.
Silver Creek also got a good showing from Karmen McMillan, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, McMillan gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April.
On the hitting side, Kaitlyn Whitlock made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Lily Allen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Silver Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Columbus North, their record is now 13-10.
