Chapin lost to Lugoff-Elgin back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Chapin Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Lugoff-Elgin Demons.

Chapin's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chapin will host Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Chapin's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they will welcome Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sumter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
