Softball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 23-4 to the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 15-3 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Woodlawn-B.R., the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Northeast will head out on the road to challenge Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northeast has given up an average of 18.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Woodlawn-B.R., they have already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against French Settlement on the 3rd.
