Soccer Recap: New Castle's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

New Castle lost against Mt. Vernon back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans lost 7-2 to the Marauders. The loss put an end to New Castle's undefeated start to the season.

Owen Barrett and Brayden Malek scored both of New Castle's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Castle fell to 2-1. As for Mt. Vernon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, New Castle will host Jay County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will head out to challenge Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
