Softball Recap: Timberland Wins Going Away Against Lowcountry Leadership

Timberland won the last time they faced Lowcountry Leadership and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wolves put the hurt on the NaviGators with a sharp 17-1 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by nine runs or more this season.

Lainey Nichols was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Nichols was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Addison Sellars was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kylee Moody, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Timberland and bumps their season record up to 10-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Lowcountry Leadership, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.

As of now, neither Timberland nor the NaviGators have any future games scheduled.
