Soccer Game Preview: Midlothian vs. Kaufman

The Midlothian Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Kaufman Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Midlothian is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Ennis an 8-0 shutout on Friday. Given Midlothian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Ennis are ranked 457th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Kaufman challenged Terrell on Friday. The Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 1-0. Kaufman's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Kaufman's win bumped their record up to 9-5-3. As for Midlothian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-2.

Midlothian skirted past Kaufman 1-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
