Basketball Game Preview: Spartanburg Vikings vs. Eastside Eagles

The Spartanburg Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Eastside Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spartanburg will be strutting in after a victory while Eastside will be coming in after a defeat.

Spartanburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 87-62 margin over Wade Hampton on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Eastside lost 67-42 to Dorman on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Cavaliers are ranked eighth).

Spartanburg pushed their record up to 8-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Eastside, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
