Basketball Recap: Lewis Cass Extends Winning Streak to Five

Lewis Cass won the last time they faced Peru and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lewis Cass Kings walked away with a 47-36 win over the Peru Tigers. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Kings were the better team in the second half.

Lewis Cass' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mylie Sipe, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Laney Davis, who earned eight points.

Despite the loss, Peru still got an impressive performance from Addie Robbins, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Robbins a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Azbell, who put up nine points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Lewis Cass, bringing their record for this year to 8-1. As for Peru, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Lewis Cass will welcome Delphi Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peru, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 46-28 loss against Guerin Catholic on the 14th.
