Baseball Recap: Tallwood Wins Going Away Against Green Run

Tallwood got themselves on the board against Green Run on Thursday, but Green Run never followed suit. They blew past the Stallions 11-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 back in March.

Carson Whaley was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connor Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Tallwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive games.

Tallwood's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Green Run, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Looking ahead, Tallwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Cox at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Green Run, they are taking a road trip to face off against Oscar Smith at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
