Basketball Game Preview: Marion Bulldogs vs. Johnson City Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Marion Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Johnson City Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marion is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

Marion picked up another tournament win on Friday. They breezed by Kenedy to the tune of 88-47. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Johnson City beat Stockdale 65-59 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Marion has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Johnson City, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Everything came up roses for Marion against Johnson City when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 74-43 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Johnson City's Aiden Fulton, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.
