Football Game Preview: Canyon View Jaguars vs. Desert View Jaguars + How To Watch

Canyon View will face off against Desert View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Canyon View comes in on five and Desert View on 12.

Canyon View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Campo Verde to the tune of 52-19. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Brady Scott was his usual excellent self, throwing for 379 yards and five TDs. Those 379 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Canyon View also got help from Braylon Anderson, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Another reason for the win was Canyon View's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, David (Tiki) Teeples was the leader with two. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another thorn in Campo Verde's side was Rece Landis, who made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Desert View didn't have too much trouble with Mountain Pointe on Friday as they won 37-21.

Desert View found their leader in sophomore Jaylee Abraham, who rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 129 receiving yards and one score. Another signal caller making a difference was Ryan Vasavilbaso, who threw for 255 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt.

Desert View's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Canyon View, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Canyon View has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 356 total yards per game. However, it's not like Desert View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 429.6 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
