Softball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton lost against Central A & M back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maroons fell 11-6 to the Raiders. The Maroons just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Avery Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Hadley Humble also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Clinton's record now sits at 2-8. As for Central A & M, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Clinton will head out on the road to square off against St. Teresa at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Maroons are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Central A & M, they will welcome MacArthur at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Raiders' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Generals have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
