Soccer Game Preview: Santa Teresa vs. Leland

The Santa Teresa Saints will challenge the Leland Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Santa Teresa is coming into the match fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Silver Creek that saw the pair combine for nine shots on goal. Santa Teresa lost 6-2 to Silver Creek on Friday. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Saints struggled afterwards.

Christopher Modica and Michael ZaragozaOrea scored both of Santa Teresa's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Leland was able to grind out a solid win over Live Oak on Friday, taking the game 4-2. That's two games straight that the Chargers have won by exactly two goals.

Leland's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for Santa Teresa, they moved to 5-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
