Volleyball Recap: North Miami Comes Up Short

If North Miami was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Central on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hialeah Thoroughbreds on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Thoroughbreds: they've now lost six in a row.

North Miami was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hialeah work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 20-25, 27-25.

North Miami now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hialeah, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Looking ahead, North Miami will look to defend their home court on Monday against JC Bermudez Doral at 5:00 p.m. As for Hialeah, they will face off against Coral Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
