Basketball Game Preview: Caston Comets vs. North Miami Warriors

The Caston Comets are taking a road trip to take on the North Miami Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Miami took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Caston, who comes in off a win.

Caston is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since February 2, 2024 on Friday. Everything went their way against Bethany Christian as Caston made off with a 45-21 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Comets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Caston got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madisyn Douglass out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which Douglass has scored at least a third of Caston's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Craig, who posted eight points along with six boards and three steals.

Caston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, North Miami was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 39-38 to Manchester. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Miami's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Caston, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Caston might still be hurting after the 56-35 defeat they got from North Miami when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Caston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
