Baseball Recap: Spalding Comes Up Short

Spalding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Rockdale County Bulldogs, falling 14-4. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Chase Clerk was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Spalding's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Rockdale County, their record now sits at 11-18.

Looking ahead, Spalding will venture away from home to face off against Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Rockdale County, they will welcome Jonesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
