Basketball Game Preview: North Florida Christian Eagles vs. FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers

North Florida Christian hasn't had much luck against FAMU DRS recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The North Florida Christian Eagles will face off against the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Florida Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Taylor County 68-25. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but FAMU DRS had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 36-17 victory over the Panthers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Baby Rattlers as it put an end to their 11-game losing streak.

FAMU DRS's win came from a few key players North Florida Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nivre Green, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (six). Hailyn Forbes was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

North Florida Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for FAMU DRS, their victory bumped their record up to 3-18.
