Baseball Game Preview: West Valley Eagles vs. Monroe Bearcats

The West Valley Eagles will face off against the Monroe Bearcats at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Monroe will be up against a hot West Valley squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Eagles put the hurt on East Valley with a sharp 14-2 win on Friday. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Monroe owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Mead.

AJ Welch was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Joe Enrico, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

West Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
