The Leon Lions will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Brookwood Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Leon is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against St. John Paul II. The Lions simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Panthers 68-37.

Leon relied on the efforts of Elijah Knight, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 20 points and seven boards, and Keon Green, who went 7-for-13 en route to 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was DeKendrick Williams, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Brookwood blew past Community Leadership Academy, posting a 51-14 victory. The Warriors have beaten the Lions the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.
