Basketball Recap: Faith Baptist Comes Up Short

Faith Baptist's game on Monday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rochester Hills Christian. The Eagle were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Rochester Hills Christian earlier this season, when they won 57-54.

Despite the loss, Faith Baptist still got an impressive performance from Troy Smither, who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Smither a new career-high. Zech Gartrelle was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Faith Baptist now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Rochester Hills Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Faith Baptist has already played their next matchup, a 56-54 loss against Bethany Christian on the 17th. As for Rochester Hills Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-41 win against Immanuel Baptist on the 14th.
